Prof. Emma McCoy and the LSE – Vietnam Connection

This September, the LSE community in Vietnam will have the honor of welcoming Professor Emma McCoyVice President & Pro-Vice Chancellor of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). More than just a gathering of current students and alumni, the event offers a rare opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation and exchange directly with Professor McCoy.

LSE – Where Knowledge Creates Global Influence

For more than a century, LSE has affirmed its position as one of the world’s leading institutions in the social sciences. It has produced over 40 world leaders and heads of state alongside countless economists, legal scholars, and international leaders.

Recognized as one of London’s top universities, LSE is distinguished by the quality of its research and its far-reaching global influence. Notably, the Good University Guide 2025 named LSE University of the Year, underscoring its academic excellence and impact.

What sets LSE apart is its global mindset – encouraging students to question critical issues in society, economics, and politics. This unique approach equips them with leadership skills and the ability to create meaningful, positive change within their communities and beyond.

Professor Emma McCoy – Academic Leader and Source of Inspiration

As Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor of LSE, Professor Emma McCoy oversees education and student learning, with a clear mission: all students have an outstanding student experience and become an integral part of LSE’s scholarly community.

Professor McCoy has a particular interest in mathematics education and outreach.
